Dr. Pieri has been in practice for over 20 years.   She was the Inpatient Medical Director of the West Yavapai Guidance Clinic for the eight years.   Prior to that, she was an Attending Psychiatrist at Temple University Hospital and Medical School in Philadelphia, teaching medical students and psychiatrists in training.   She has expertise in the treatment of substance use disorders, psychotic and mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and can assist in the treatment of personality disorders. Her unique array of experience also includes acute care and emergency psychiatry, forensics, spirituality in medicine, critical incident debriefing and stress management as well as performance improvement.    She has over 15 years' experience in teaching meditation.   She is Board Certified in Psychiatry as well as a Diplomate and Fellow of the American Board of Forensic Medicine. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the International Society for Sport Psychiatry.   She was voted "Top Doc" in her specialty for 2010.



Dr. Vaughan was the Medical Director of West Yavapai Guidance Clinic, inpatient and outpatient services for nine years, and practiced in Prescott for over 10 years.  She has also practiced at Greentree Wellness Center in Prescott seeing private patients, and saw private outpatients in Indianapolis prior to moving to  Arizona.  She is Board Certified in Psychiatry and works with adults. She has expertise in the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse and dependence, persons with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit disorders and psychotic disorders.   Dr. Vaughan was one of 41 psychiatrists nationally awarded the "Exemplary Psychiatrist" award by NAMI (the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill) in 2009. The annual Exemplary Psychiatry Awards recognize psychiatrists who have “gone the extra mile” in providing excellent clinical care, educating family members and consumers, educating the public and helping to reduce stigma surrounding mental illness.   She has been a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Medical Association for over sixteen years.


Is camera-shy, so you'll have to come into the office to see her.  She is practice manager of Psychiatric Services of Prescott, and has worked with both Dr. Vaughan and Dr. Pieri for several years.  She was previously office manager at another psychiatric office in Prescott, and has over 15 years of experience in the psychiatric and behavioral health field.   She has expertise in patient billing and insurance issues, and we're sure that you will find her helpful in determining your needs, and guiding you through our services.
